چکیده
Abstract Desvenlafaxine succinate (DVS) inhibits serotonin reuptake selectively and is approved for major depressive disorders. This research investigated influence of DVS on modulating brain monoamine oxidative stress in mice. The antiepileptic potential (10, 20, or 30 mg/kg/i.p.) pentylenetetrazole (PTZ; 85 mg/kg) with i.p. route administration, strychnine (STR; 75 route, pilocarpine (400 s.c. maximal electroshock MES-induced convulsion mouse models. activities stress, i.e. superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione (GSH) lipid peroxidation (LPO) as well gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) the brains PTZ-induced convulsive Treatment increased latency to develop siezures declined mortalities rodents against PTZ, STR pilocarpine-induced convulsions. Results MES-leaded revealed that reduced tonic hind limb extension duration significantly. Brain, SOD, GSH GABA level were significantly (P<0.01) LPO after treatment. Furthermore, did not show any motor coordination signs rotarod test. We demonstrated role genesis mice under control condition attenuate damage.

Zanthoxylum Alatum Attenuates Chronic Restraint Stress Adverse Behavioral Effects Via the Mitigation of Oxidative Stress and Modulating the Expression of Genes Involved in Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Mice
Introduction: The functions of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) are important, particularly in the proteins’ synthesis, folding, modification, and transport. Based on traditional medicine and our previous studies on Zanthoxylum alatum in lipopolysaccharide-induced depressive behavior and scopolamine-induced impaired memory, the present study explored the role of hydroalcoholic extract of Z. alatu...
متن کاملAssessment of oxidative stress parameters of brain-derived neurotrophic factor heterozygous mice in acute stress model
Objective(s): Exposing to stress may be associated with increased production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Therefore, high level of oxidative stress may eventually give rise to accumulation of oxidative damage and development of numerous neurodegenerative diseases. It has been presented that brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) supports neurons against various neurodegenerative conditio...
متن کاملRole of Propolis on Oxidative Stress in Fish Brain
Introduction: Cypermethrin causes its neurotoxic effect through voltage-dependent sodium channels and integral protein ATPases in the neuronal membrane. Brain and nerve damage are often associated with low residual level of pesticides. In vitro and in vivo studies have also shown that pesticides cause free radical-mediated tissue damage in brain. Propolis has antioxidant properties. The main ch...
متن کاملEffects of Atorvastatin on the Hypertension-Induced Oxidative Stress in the Rat Brain
Background: It is well known that the development of brain oxidative stress is one of the most serious complications of arterial hypertension that evokes brain tissue damage. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of atorvastatin treatment (20 mg/kg/day), as an antioxidant, to prevent the brain tissue oxidative stress in the hypertensive (HTN) rats. Methods: Experiments were performed...
متن کاملProtective effect of N-acetylcysteine on Dipentyl phthalate (DPeP) induced cognitive dysfunction and brain oxidative stress in mice
Background: Dipentyl phthalate (DPeP) is a plasticizer compound commonly used in polyvinylchloride plastic to increase their softness and flexibility. They are not bound covalently to the plastic polymers and can therefore leach out into the environment, and have been shown to adversely affect the health of humans and animals. Methods: We investigated the effect of DPeP on the various cognitive...
